I thought we are going to discourage using executeQuery. Thus this approach
was not used.

However, will use suggest approach for 1.0.0 release as its much more
performant & straight forward. Your query needs to be slightly modified to
consider tags applied under a give path only. In API Manager, we are only
interested in tags applied for published APIs only (but the concept can be
applied generally by passing in '/' as the path).

Sometimes ago I proposed to add this as a standard operation to registry
interface. Going to be a widely used functionality with *Store type
applications.
