Both of the above are purposeful user errors and I don't think we need to
worry about these.

Yes you can. We can take the difference of two time stamps and decide how
long you were in a state.

No, the portlet-view is too crammed. We need to bring up at least a pop-up.
The names of states won't always be very short as in your example, and also
with the number of transitions increasing the UI the portlet will become a
nuisance. So, I think we need a better way to see this.
