Hi Ruchira, I just downloaded GS 2.0.0 M8. The Asset Store is not showing up as well as the samples. I'm using Windows 7 and JDK 1.6.0_31. There are no warnings or errors too, so I'm clueless as to what happened. Might be an issue with this build. Can you check?
