*WSO2 Gadget Server is now renamed to "WSO2 User Engagement Center" with
its new feature set.*
The re-branding of the product from WSO2 Gadget Server 2.0 to the User
Engagement Center is mainly due to its feature richness that goes beyond
Open Social Gadget Rendering.
The product is more content oriented, where users can create fully dynamic
pages with a mix of content and OS Gadgets. Notable features of the User
Engagement Center includes,
- Create dynamic content with Jaggery scripts
- Embed gadgets from the server-side (via Jaggery) or from client side
(via Shindig)
- A Store to host gadgets, which emphasizes on managing a directory of
published gadgets
- The Store includes features such as,
- Gadget life-cycle governance
- Commenting, rating like social features
- Search by preference
- REST API to perform CRUD operations
- Sample dashboards showcasing the capabilities of the User
Engagement Center
The milestone-1 of WSO2 User Engagement Center is in it's very early stage,
you will encounter number of bugs and feature limitations, we are working
on improving these in future milestones.
