Developers building products in trunk could face an issue of carbon servers hanging without starting up with the following logs.
JAVA_HOME environment variable is set to /home/johann/jdk1.7.0_09 CARBON_HOME environment variable is set to /home/johann/carbon/platform/trunk/products/is/modules/distribution/target/wso2is-4.5.0-SNAPSHOT log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (org.apache.axiom.om.util.StAXUtils). log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly. This could be due to problems with the new multiple profile support in carbon. I was able to successfully build the IS product in trunk after doing some changes to the p2-profile-gen POM. Anyone facing this issues could look into the p2-profile-gen POM in trunk IS. Also since the directory structure has changed a little I had to fix some relative paths in the p2.inf files in some of the IS features that copy configuration files and artifacts during feature installation of the product build.
