+1 for this. I think if we keep MD5 of jars, then implementing the
application and reverting of patches without copying all the backup jars in
patch0000 folder, as suggested in another thread by Manoj would be much
easier.

@Shameera,

Regarding your point about another IO access to get MD5 info of jars, would
it be possible to keep patch info on a single file so multiple IO accesses
are not necessary? Am not aware of the implementation details of patch
verification module, so don't know if this is feasible, just a thought...
