Hi Isuru, The content in the xml will only be utilized to list down the hostnames in Cassandra Keyspaces List UI. Refer [1] for exact format and more information. If you want you can put port in there. Anyhow the usage of cassandra-endpoint.xml is an optional task. So that might be the reason it is not available in distribution.
