Hi This failing call is going through "org.wso2.carbon.stratos.common.util.CommonUtil.validateEmail". Can you make sure that in both cases its going through this. You can add a log to this method and build the jar and patch it and check. Otherwise you can try debugging and see whether it hits there in both cases. I guess in non failing case its not going through there which should be the case.
