Hi Inshaf, I have tried using mysql-connector-java-5.1.30.jar, but I'm still getting the same issue. I think it's something with the mysql version + connector compatibility.
@Sewmini - You might be using the correct combination. I will have to try that as well. But if anyone can give a solution to this which prevent me from changing versions would be great.
