Hi all,

in the current DAS development, we are using Spark 1.3.1 OOTB version. we
are packing the original 1.3.1 jars as orbit bundles. Namely,
- Spark core
- Spark SQL
- Spark MLlib

But, as of now, there have been several several bug fixes + several
implementations+ stability improvements introduced to the v1.3.1 version.
But they are not planning to release a bug fixes minor version any time
soon. (from what I see) in these fixes there are no API changes, so it
would not affect the component compilation, but some of the fixes are vital
for our implementations.

I had a discussion in the spark dev list about this, and their suggestion
is to use the spark branch 1.3 and get a build which would include all the
patches.

I would like to pack these patched jars in the features.

In the current carbon architecture, is there any way to accommodate this
scenario and how? (ex: get a change list of files -> include it in a
separate patch component -> attach it to the original orbit bundles in the
OSGI runtime etc)
