Hi, You can check whether the service has been deleted properly by going to */repository/deployment/server/synapse-configs/default/proxy-services* directory and checking whether a proxy with that name exists there.
Deleting the proxy service from UI (services list) should work. You can check whether there is some known issue in ESB 4.8.0 by searching in public Jira. Deleting from the above folder ( /repository/deployment/server/synapse-configs/default/proxy-services) always works.
