We can remove some. These sample are here, 1. To showcase store capabilities OOTB. 2. We have test dependencies on these samples (for pagination etc..)
Because of the second reason I personally believe this is not a good time to do this change(close to a release with higher priority stuff to fix). That is why we want to keep the JIRA open(with less priority) so we can fix in future. Regards, UdaraR
