Hope I'm not adding noise here. *Option 1* suggested by Lakmali(Coping all sequences from the old pack and then replacing them with the new ones) would be best because it would also prevent the issues(such as API referring to non existing sequence) that might come up if for some reason an already existing sequence is removed in a future release. Plus it makes the process simpler for the user rite.
