No. The only reason is we need a name for the features that actually have a numerical meanings. Numerical may mean "numbers" (which can be categorical as well) to users. In that case we need an alternative. Is there a better name we can use? Or we need to keep numerical as it is and assume it means the features that have some numerical meaning.
