We don't support regex in GReg 5.2.0 and as per the offline discussion had with Chathura, Isurwan and Chandana we will not support in the future as well. * and ? is the only two wild cards that we support ATM. How ever as per your request we identified that this behaviour can be append as a note in this[1] documentation.
