Apache XALAN Project Documentation -- Status Report: August 19, 2012.

The Xalan PMC website "http://xalan.apache.org";

[1] Xalan Stylebook prototype source (SVN)/xalan/site/stylebook/

    This directory contains a the prototype stylebook.xslt that transforms
    Apache stylebook markup into HTML pages. The apache-xalan.css file
    provides browser hints on how to render the Xalan family of website
pages.
    The Xalan-Logos directory contain the graphics for our projects.

[2] "http://xalan.apache.org"; site documentation sources are found in
    directory (SVN)/xalan/site/xdocs/

    This directory contains the DTD stylebook validation and sources for
    constructing the Xalan PMC top-level website.

    The site webpages are constructed using the "Xalan-C" xalan.exe
    XSLT transformation program on a Windows operating system. There
    are .BAT command files that perform the website build from
    Stylebook XML sources.

[3] Publishing Xalan PMC website "http://xalan.apache.org";

    Check-in the updated website documents to
    (SVN)/xalan/site/docs/xalan/

[4] Publishing (OLD) Xalan-Java 2.7.1 from "http://xml.apache.org/xalan-j";

    Check-in the updated website documents to
    (SVN)/xalan/site/docs/xalan/old/xalan-j/

    NOTE: some links still reference the "http://xml.apache.org";
    site hierarchy and many links are broken. The TESTS documentation
    is mostly broken.

[5] Publishing (OLD) Xalan-C++ 1.10 from "http://xml.apache.org/xalan-c";
    Check-in the updated website documents to
    (SVN)/xalan/site/docs/xalan/old/xalan-c/

    NOTE: some links still reference the "http://xml.apache.org";
    site hierarchy and many links are broken.

[6] Publishing Xalan-Java 2.7.1 (PRE-2.7.2) as
"http://xalan.apache.org/xalan-j";

    Check-in the updated Xalan-J project website documents to
    (SVN)/xalan/site/docs/xalan/xalan-j/

[7] Publishing Xalan-C 1.11 as "http://xalan.apache.org/xalan-c";

    Check-in the updated Xalan-C project website documents to
    (SVN)/xalan/site/docs/xalan/xalan-c/

[8] "http://xalan.apache.org/xalan-c"; project documentation sources are
    found in directory (SVN)/xalan/c/trunk/xdocs/

    This directory contains the DTD stylebook validation and sources for
    constructing the Xalan-C project website.

    The project webpages are constructed using the "Xalan-C" xalan.exe
    XSLT transformation program on a Windows operating system. There
    are .BAT command files that perform the website build from Stylebook
    XML sources.

[9] "http://xalan.apache.org/xalan-j"; project documentation sources are
    found in (SVN)/xalan/c/branches/XalanDocs/xalan/java/trunk/xdocs/

    This directory contains the DTD stylebook validation and sources for
    constructing the Xalan-J project website.

    The project webpages are constructed using the "Xalan-C" xalan.exe
    XSLT transformation program on a Windows operating system. There
    are .BAT command files that perform the website build from Stylebook
    XML sources. Stylebook content in the XalanDocs branch is nearly
    idential to that found in (SVN)/xalan/java/trunk/xdocs/, changed
    mostly to accommodate a new browser presentation format.

    The (SVN)/xalan/java/trunk/xdocs/ directory contains the old stylebook
    sources used for building the pages for "html://xml.apache.org/xalan-j"
    website.

    The (OLD)/xalan/java/trunk/xdocs should be tagged or branched for
    legacy documentation maintenance. After such branching/tagging, has
    taken place, I can then copy the current
"html://xalan.apache.org/xalan-j"
    project website sources into (SVN)/xalan/java/trunk/xdocs.

[10] "http://xml.apache.org/xalan-j/tests"; website

    This is mostly broken. It is currently published in subversion as
    (SVN)xalan/site/xalan/old/xalan-j/tests/

    I cannot locate the stylebook sources for these web pages. Most of the
    links are broken. I can attempt to rebuild the stylebook xml from the
    website for future maintenance.

[11] Xalan Java - Patch Release Documentation

    I will need assistance and comments from the Xalan Java contributors.

    I can then update the new Xalan-J project website pages.

    I will also move the documentation sources into their proper location
    at (SVN)/xalan/java/trunk/xdocs/ for website maintenance.
