Hm. We need more detail about how that picks up the changes. If it's from the 
distribution zips, I need to make sure their doc directories exactly match the 
previous contents or change the process.  If it's running the ant task that 
generates the docs, we need to replicate the directory contents and location 
and may need a stub ant build for that process to call.. or change the process. 
If it's something else... You get the idea.

I've done few XalanJ site documentation changes successfully, as follows,

We need to commit to the git repos
https://github.com/apache/xalan-site (branch 'master'), and that
immediately gets reflected on the site xalan.apache.org.

I've been editing the HTML files (within Visual Studio code. Others
may use a different HTML IDE as necessary) on a git local clone of
https://github.com/apache/xalan-site, and then committing that to this
repos.
