Hi Joseph,
Little while ago, I've built Xalan-J's latest codebase from dev
repos branch xalan-j_xslt3.0.

>From this produced build, I could successfully run (and have got
expected result, as well) Xalan-J's redirect extension example
provided by Xalan-J itself (described here,
https://xalan.apache.org/xalan-j/extensionslib.html#ex-redirect).

Xalan-J's build from the dev repos branch xalan-j_xslt3.0 is able to
successfully run Xalan java extension functions as well.
Xalan-J's test case
https://github.com/apache/xalan-java/blob/xalan-j_xslt3.0/tests/xpath_value_comparison/test7.xsl
located on this dev repos branch uses an implementation of Xalan java
extension function, that has always been running fine when I run Xalan
test regressions on dev repos branch xalan-j_xslt3.0.

Many thanks.
