I don't think, xsl:comment affects the implementation behavior of Xalan-J's XSL
3 function fn:transform. I usually omit xsl:comment instruction within my XSL 3
development stylesheets since I need to add the stylesheets to test cases. You
use function fn:current-dateTime within an XSL instruction xsl:comment, which
creates issues comparing stylesheet transformation result with an expected
output.
Few mins ago, I've committed few new test cases on Xalan-J's XSL 3 dev repos
branch, using your stylesheet chaining idea using function fn:fold-left and
these test cases work fine.
I've a feeling that, there may be issues with respected to this jira issue on
your local, and this is not a Xalan-J XSL 3 implementation bug.
Please let us know, if there are new findings from you about this jira issue,
so that someone may try to resolve those issues.
