I've thought of writing this mail to this list.
We seem to have reached Xalan-J XSL 3 little development milestone.
Following are Xalan-J XSL 3 implementation status as of now, wrt W3C
XSLT 3.0 and XPath 3.1 test suites
XSLT 3.0
tests run = 4819, pass = 3858, success = 80.06%
XPath 3.1
tests run = 9363, pass = 8227, success = 87.87%
