Enhace XFire to support gzip compression of service requests and responses.
The feature is particularly relevant for applications with large, non-binary
request or response objects.
The following URL describes applying a similar approach in Axis.

In preliminary email discussions on the feature, Dan Diephouse suggested the
insertion point on the server could be the XFireServletController, and
CommonsHttpMessageSender on the client side.
