Brad Davis reopened XFIRE-698:
------------------------------
This problem is not fixed. Attempting to use XFire 1.2.6 I found that it was
still stripping whitespace. It appears that my correction from my earlier
comment was incorrect in that it still included the trim() call at the end. As
it is, getRawContent is identical in functionality to getContent(). The
function should read:
> DOMInHandler strips whitespace

> If I add the provided input handler org.codehaus.xfire.util.dom.DOMInHandler
> into my service it ends up stripping all the whitespace out of the document,
> even where the schema says that it should be preserved. I believe I've
> tracked this down to the STAXUtils class where the readDocElements drops any
> events of type SPACE. I'll look into providing a patch today or tommorow.
