Hi all
Some weeks ago, I annonced ooo2dbk, an external tool allowing transforming OOo documents to docbook
http://www.indesko.com/sites/en/downloads/ooo2dbk___generating/view
The XSLT transform provide major improvements regarding other tools, including choice to export article or book, support preface / appendices / glossary / biblio, full table export (with cell alignement and borders), superscript and subscript, metadatas using user fields, etc.
All is availabale on the CVS http://cvs.nuxeo.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/Indesko/ooo2dbk/
Is it possible to list ooo2dbk on the xml.ooo web site http://xml.openoffice.org/filters.html
Moreover, we are still working on the project and actually enhancing it. For example OLE object are now supported (they are automatically converted to picture and included in the docbook document as graphics).
What is the status of the current OOo docbook import / export project ? Can we join it ?
Would it be possible to create an incubator project to integrate all the features we have at OOo level, developping a new generation docbook filter ? As a pure XSLT and addon to support advanced features (like OLE objects support or better image handling with resizing and cropping).
With such a project, all the work done around docbook filter effort could be shared, allowing to have a productive filter for OpenOffice.org
Feel free to ask if any question
Regards
Laurent
