Hi Bryan,
not quite. As far as I know HTML recurses into unknown tags, which is
not done in OpenDocument per default.
The other mechanisms are so-called "alien attributes", which are
attributes on styles who are imported and saved back.
The OpenDocument spec
"http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/12572/OpenDocument-v1.0-os.pdf"
at section "1.5 Document Processing and Conformance" might answer your
questions. I am afraid to details on whats implemented in OOo you have
to post specific questions to this list again ;-).
Best regards,
Florian
Am I correct in the opinion that the ODF namespace strategy is basically the
same as HTML's handling of unknown markup, or are there additional wrinkles.
A document anywhere outlining the strategy? I'm supposing with XForms binding
and such that the strategy is more complex than that.
Cheers,
Bryan Rasmussen
