Hi Bénigot,

the reason for your problems is the filter implementation of the WordML import, which is different to the one used by the binary DOC import.

The WordML filter is a XSLT filter I have taken over lately. Unfortunately I won't be able to spend much time on this filter in the near future due to other projects of higher priority. But for the good news, the active community member Stefan Ziel is currently working on some fixes, that has been bundled in the CWS wordml02 [1].

If you do not find your problems in one of those issues, you might write some issues with test documents and if Stefan (or any other who is willing to help) is able to fix it, I would gladly add those fixes to the next product patch.

Kind Regards,
Svante

I am using OO 2.0.3 (developer release) on Linux.
When I read a wordML document into writer using the wordML filter I find that a lot of the document formatting is lost. Specifically : - paragraphs with the "Titre" (french equivalent for "Title") style disappear,
    - heading paragraphs lose there "space before" attribute,
    - paragraphs with a grey background lose their grey background,
    - page numbers disappear,
- some bold disapears, whereas some title bold spills overs the following text, - font is sometimes reset to the default "time new roman" instead of the font style value (in our case Verdana) - tables borders are present even if the border is not to be drawn or if the table cells are merged - document styles are renamed with a preceding "w" (I suppose to note the style comes from Word)
    - (...)
This doesn't happen when opening a doc file : the conversion is quite accurate in this case, but the fact is I need to convert from wordML. Is there a way to solve this ?
