Hi, Where is the styling of a heading saved. What do I mean? Simple that I have an Open Office odt file, I have in it a simple paragraph. I copy that file. now I have two versions. I open one and I select that paragraph I change it to be a heading. Great. It works. I can now see a headline in my document, that is very important. I close the document. I open it with a zipping utility, go into content xml, go copy the relevant text:h element, put it into the content.xml of the saved document. look through the styles, is there any reference to heading styles in either of the documents? no there is not, not in the styles of the document and not in the style.xml included with OO. I save my altered document. open my altered document with open office. The altered document has the exact same style as before. Check the xml in my content.xml to make sure it has been altered. it has.
please note that OO is not running so it is not caching the presentation in some way, the document is not read only (obviously or I shouldn't be able to change the content.xml) so what things can cause the addition of a simple text:header not to be presented as any different than a paragraph? is there anything in particular?
