In general, you have to commit the source code into the OpenOffice.org CVS. To do so, a child workspace has to be set up. But before we can do so, we have to locate the right place for the filter in the OOo source code hierarchy. And that again depends on a couple of properties of the filter. Which document types does the filter support? I assume text documents. Does it also support spreadsheets and presentations? I assume the filter adds UOF as a new datatype to the file open and save dialogs. Is that assumption correct? You have mentioned that the filter is based on xsltproc and ImageMagick. So, we also have to make sure that these become part of OOo, or have to find a replacement that is already part of OOo. Regarding xsltproc: I assume the filter is based on an XSLT stylesheet. You may know that OOo has already Xalan included. Do you think the stylesheet would work with Xalan, too, or does it require xsltproc. Regarding ImageMagick.
