The lines can be adapted to any size changes of the cell.
because it will be calculateed its start point and end point, while the
cell' size changes.

you right, the user can choose the diagonal style which be provided via
a dialog.
these diagonal style choosed decide the diagonal view.

cant see clearly
any relation between the Css's table:diagonal and Office's table:diagonal.
