I wasn't meaning to slight RDF or RDFa for that matter. There should be some
way to represent hierarchal meta data in the body of the document. MODS has an
XSD Schema, and so does MathML; composition (and validation) of a compound
document either XHTML/MODS or XHTML/MathML is cookbook stuff.
RDFa in XHTML is ok, as I mentioned, but you have to add it by hand and then it
breaks validation unless you modify the schema or DOCTYPE.
Zotero puts out MODS or RDF. Novices, helpless to correct errors, need low tech
copy and paste, and as a bonus can compare RDF to MODS side by side.
It's all good, I think.
