Hi people, I send this email because I have read some of the comments from ODF advocates critizising OOo for implementing and defaulting to a uncomplete ODF standard (1.2). The controversy is simply because is an unfinished work and implementing and defaulting to it could cause some problems between different versions of ODF 1.2. Since the standard is not yet done, changes are more likely to change under some of the recent petitions like SVG support and other proposals under ODF-Next.
I want to understand the advantage or issues on why having OOo defaulting to ODF 1.2 is a better idea than holding to 1.1 for standard ODF management and only having 1.2 option for testing.
