Just wanted to follow up and let everyone know that the Board did appoint Cezar as the PMC chair last Wednesday.

The voting period is now closed. Cezar has been unanimously elected with 5 binding +1 votes and 4 non-binding +1 votes. Congratulations, Cezar! The ASF Board will be meeting one week from today. I will draft a resolution and get it on their agenda, so that they can then make Cezar's appointment official. Until then, I guess you could call him "PMC Chair-Elect" ;-). I also want to reiterate that I am not going anywhere; I'll still be around to help out with XMLBeans issues in whatever way that I can.
