The protocol is to submit a patch and attach it to the bug. It doesn't have to be a diff, if instructions are good enough. I was really busy in the last few weeks, but I'll try to look at them and them in. If the patches/solutions are good quality and the person is willing to become a committer, the PMC will vote and if the outcome is possitive will become a committer (ICLA details involved).
