Hi all,

For the past 4 releases Vinish has served as the release manager and did an
excellent job. However, the project should not depend on a single
individual to drive, cut, and validate releases.
In order for the project to become autonomous more people should be
familiar with the ASF release process.

I would suggest starting rotating the role in the next releases. We can use
this thread to gather some volunteers for the subsequent releases:
0.5.0: ?
0.6.0: ?
0.7.0: ?

Note that only committers and PMC can serve as release managers.

Best,
Stamatis
