Hi Sylwester, Thanks for putting this together, and thanks for the steady stream of PRs and issue reports over the last few weeks. The packaging and Delta work has found real problems. Here is my understanding of where things stand today, in case it is useful to others following the thread. Please correct anything I have wrong.
PRs - #912 (Delta nested field ids): merged to main. - #917 (REST spec fixes): you closed it on Sep 7. If the three corrections still hold, it would be good to fold them into whatever answer #918 lands on. - #897 (utilities jar size): still open. I reviewed it a few hours back and found two config-triggered regressions, the S3A assume-role path with an STS endpoint set, and the google-c2p resolver on Google Cloud. I posted a fix on the PR as a comment that keeps most of the size win. The branch also needs a rebase on main. With that in, it is a good fit for 0.5.0. Issues - #918 (spec: design target or description): open. Rahil is assigned for the call. This one blocks any further spec work, so it would help to close it out soon. - #907 (absolute Delta paths): PR #932 is open from Arvin and comments have been added by Tim. - #901 (Parquet schema from one footer): #937 documented the limits. Akash asked whether we close it or keep it for schema merging and Hive partition columns. I lean towards keeping it open for the implementation, but I am fine either way.
