In the current gang scheduling documentation we show FIFO or StateAware as
[prerequisite for the app sorting
policy|https://yunikorn.apache.org/docs/user_guide/gang_scheduling/#prerequisite].
We should not recommend StateAware as a failing driver or a long initialisation
period for a driver could slow down the processing. The StateAware timeout willÂ
slow down processing to just one application per timeout. This in effect will
overrule the gang reservation.
So you should either use FIFO with gang or StateAware without gang scheduling.
