Luiz Angelo Steffenel created ZEPPELIN-2697:
-----------------------------------------------

Summary: allow specification of cassandra user/passwd settings in
a paragraph
                 Key: ZEPPELIN-2697
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ZEPPELIN-2697
             Project: Zeppelin
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: zeppelin-interpreter
    Affects Versions: 0.7.2, 0.8.0
            Reporter: Luiz Angelo Steffenel
            Priority: Trivial

Currently the authentification (user/password) for the cassandra interpreter is
tied to the global interpreter parameters (cassandra.credentials.username and
cassandra.credentials.password). In a multi-user environment this is an issue,
as we are still unable to have a different configuration per user (see
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ZEPPELIN-1337).

It would be interesting to allow users set their own authentification
parameters in a paragraph and use these values instead of the default ones.
Such verification could be triggered for example by the parsion of the "use
<keyspace>" command.

Even after the ZEPPELIN-1337 issue is solved, this would allow users to
temporarily modify cassandra auth parameters without having to change their
main configuration (for example, when testing grant rights).
