Thanks @1ambda once again helping me on checking and testing this change.
I was not able to reproduce the bug you describe above but you were right
on avoiding calls to fetch helium.json.
In this last commit I'm no longer doing so. I'll be testing in more detail
this pull request in the next days but have a look already to see if you can
spot any issues. Thanks.
