I have taken care of all the ideas and concerns expressed earlier (in the
closed [PR-2502](https://github.com/apache/zeppelin/pull/2502)), and believe
this implementation should be good to go. Could you please take another look at
this renewed PR, and let me know if you have any further comments or
suggestions.
It appears to me that the test failures on travis are unrelated to my
contributions in this PR.
