In ZEPPELIN-2, the maven-web plugin was bumped to solve a reported issue with
SL4J. The new version of the maven-web plugin raised the minimum maven version
to 3.1.0.
Unfortunately, some major Linux distributions such as CentOS and RHEL only
package maven 3.0.x. Although ideally, this wouldn't be Zeppelin's concern,
it could affect a large user base and inhibit uptake.
I'll see if I can find a way to resolve the issues in ZEPPELIN-2 without
increasing the maven version.
