@elbamos have you tried running Zeppelin with Spark 1.6?
I can assure you it does not work and this PR is fixing that and at the
same time keeping it working for Spark 1.4 or others. It is ok if you don't
know what the build and code changes are doing.
If you want to propose a new architecture to interface with Spark, please
do that outside of this PR and on the dev@ list. In fact, you are welcome to
create a new PR.
