I'd leave both current and stable pointing to 3.3 branch for the time being. Perhaps as we get more confidence in 3.4 we'll make those changes? I'm hoping we cut a 3.4.1 release soon and transition people off 3.3 thereafter. (at least that's been our experience with past 3.x+1 releases)
