Yi Pan commented on BOOKKEEPER-398:
-----------------------------------

Aniruddha, could you also quickly comment on the following questions?
1) where do you store the stats?
2) are the stats persisted? Or is it volatile?
3) Do you have a bookkeeper stat JIRA opened already?
4) Could you also comment on how the current packaging would allow implementing
a vendor specific stats repository underneath the ClientStatsLogger?

Thanks a lot for the good work!

> We have been experimenting with using the Twitter stats package
> (http://twitter.github.com/commons/apidocs/com/twitter/common/stats/package-summary.html)
> for exporting hedwig stats over HTTP. This is open-sourced under the Apache
> license. The motivation for this was better logging of percentile latencies
> and requests-per-second (which are difficult to measure with the current
> implementation of hedwig stats). Is this something the community would be
> interested in? If so, I could work on a patch.
