Thanks [~stevenwillis]. I suspect more widely available in the hadoop 
ecosystem, however in our case we don't use the hadoop, xml based config 
parsers. We have our own properties based on. Likely we'd have to replicate 
that functionality ourselves (I'm no expert on this subject though...)
