Yes, ZooKeeper pre-commit is coded to work against only on trunk. Agreed,
Hadoop's test-patch.sh is very helpful, probably we can also think similar
lines. Coming to this feature, IMHO we could try pushing this new feature only
to branch 3.5 and trunk. Later, if anyone really interested on this feature
will try back porting this to the branch-3.4. Does this make sense to you?
