Hi all, As you may have seen, we found a deadlock with 3.4.7 that seems to occur rarely, but that could cause a server to stall while shutting down. Shutdowns of the server do not occur only when you're stopping a server, they do occur when, for example, the leader decides that it doesn't have enough supporters. Consequently, you could end up with servers stuck in your ensemble that you'd need to restart manually. My sense is that this is a serious bug, and I'd like to put this issue up for discussion and eventually move to a vote to remove 3.4.7 from the Apache mirrors and reference from the Web site.
The specific issue is described and it is being discussed in ZOOKEEPER-2347. Please share your opinion about the 3.4.7 release in this thread. -Flavio
