Sorry for the late reply. I guess it is only a matter of finding a volunteer. Branch 3.6 should already be in good shape for a release. By the way, can you please share your reasons for not upgrading to 3.7.x or to 3.8.x ? 3.6.x is the oldest maintained release line, it is interesting to know reasons to stay there and not to upgrade.
