Hi Stephane, unfortunately the requirement (which I didn't develop) says to use the internal Jahia functionality. Thus searching should be possible all the time using Lucene and the default search should return the people results as well. I suggested to use a portlet, since this would allow maximum flexibility. But for now this does not seem like an option, so another solution is required. The import should be initially, I would be good do have an export as well to be able to reinitialize from scratch (another clean import). So if there is no easy way of doing this, we will have to rethink the options we have. Maybe you have another idea? Wolfram

If you want to use the CMS layer, what about synchronisation issue between the two systems? Is this a one shot import? Finally if you want to import an extract of your database into the Jahia DB, you will need to create a JSP with an adequate containerlist definition + then make an algorithm to automatically create all the sub-containers entries. This may be quite tricky to do if you are new to the Jahia object model.
