Hmm... very strange. I noticed you said you are using Windows 2000. We've noticed a lot of variance in the quality of the WebDAV implementation within different Windows versions.
If I try the same procedure with my Windows XP SP 1 I don't have your problem. You might look into trying with another configuration.
Also note that WebDAV is very sensitive to the default configuration of Jahia. If you have changed the Tomcat version or something, I won't be able to help because the trouble could come from an XML parser or something like that.
