Hmm... I'm not 100% sure the FAQ is still up to date.

Basically we do allow for "simple" LDAP authentification, including for directory browsing. Give it a try and see if it works for you.

As for connecting to an ActiveDirectory, it is possible, but what I recommend is that you first test the connection with an LDAP client, make sure it works with that, and then setup Jahia the same way.

Hi

First time poster and new to Jahia here :)

In the FAQ it states regarding LDAP:

"Right now Jahia only support a LDAP connection in a non authenticated environment. It
means that if your LDAP server requires you to log in, you won’t be able to use LDAP connection."

What exactly does this mean? The situation i have is that my client uses Active Directory, and wish to implement a CMS/Portal which uses their Active Directory as the authentication and group permissions source. Will they be able to use Jahia and then link (via LDAP) to their AD for authenticating users? and then pick up their groups?

cheers
Edd
