Hello Serge,
So for this special need, I have to wait for Jahia 5 coming in 2006 is
it right - I have seen WSRP on the Jahia future architecture - ? Or
will be an intermediate version between 4.5 and 5 versions including
this feature ?
Thanks by advance for these precisions !
Hmm... I sure hope this won't bring us into 2006 :) Anyway in the
current CVS I already have a partially working implementation of the
integration with Jetspeed 2, and hopefully they will add support for
WSRP in the near future.
Another way to get the feature faster is to sponsorise it.

Serge Huber.

Hi Dominique,
The web standard to call remote applications including context *is*
WRSP. Apart from that you would need to build your own custom
communication mechanism to exchange context information such as the
current user etc...

Hello,
I am exploring the different capabilities for calling external
applications from the Jahia portal.
I have to solve the case with one Jahia running on one server and
hosting apps on its applications server (tomcat or another), and a
user authenticated on that Jahia server.
Now, I want to call a webapps or a portlet hosted on another
applications server (tomcat or another) from a Jahia context: I have
identified the future WSRP to call Remote Portlet in next versions of
Jahia, but is it possible to call external portlets (written in java)
with security context coming from Jahia and without WSRP protocol or
we can only use apps which are deployed on the same applications
servers as Jahia ?
Thanks by advance,
